Join us for an inspiring afternoon of art and conversation with multidisciplinary artist Sonya Sanchez Arias, whose deeply meaningful work is featured in our current exhibition, Persistence of Matter.
In The Road to Unforgettable, Sonya will share the stories, inspiration, and creative process behind her work, transforming discarded and reclaimed materials into powerful works of art that invite us to rethink value, memory, and beauty. Through her practice, she challenges us to see possibility in what others leave behind.

The afternoon begins with a reception at 1:00 PM, where guests can enjoy light refreshments, explore the exhibition, and meet the artist. The conversation begins at 1:30 PM, followed by an audience Q&A.
Admission is free, but RSVP is requested. Donations to the Cornell Art Museum are greatly appreciated and help support future exhibitions and educational programs that bring exceptional contemporary art to our community.
