BIG imagination starts with little bottle caps
Get creative at the Cornell Art Museum during this hands-on art workshop designed for children ages 6–13.
Inspired by the museum's current exhibition, Persistence of Matter, young artists will begin with a guided exploration of the exhibition before creating their own unique 8-by-10-inch artwork using recycled prescription bottle caps on a wood panel. Featuring more than 40 national artists, Persistence of Matter showcases sculptures and mixed-media works made from discarded, reclaimed, and upcycled materials, encouraging visitors to see everyday objects in new and imaginative ways.
Whether designing colorful mosaics, abstract patterns, or playful portraits, participants are free to let their creativity shine. Each child will take home a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Registration: $15 per child, plus applicable fees and taxes
Paid parking is available in the Old School Square parking garage.
