Call to Artists: Persistence of Matter

The Cornell Art Museum at Old School Square invites artists to participate in Persistence of Matter, an exhibition that transforms the forgotten into the unforgettable. This show celebrates creativity, sustainability, and the enduring life of materials—revealing the beauty and potential hidden in discarded objects.

About the Exhibition

Through thoughtful upcycling and environmental awareness, participating artists reimagine cast-off materials, giving them new life and purpose. Persistence of Matter challenges and inspires viewers to reconsider consumption, waste, and the environmental impact of everyday materials, proving that what we discard can hold immense value.

The opening night will feature live music, refreshments, and a chance to meet the participating artists. Throughout the exhibition, special programming will include artist talks, salon discussions, film screenings, installations, and more.
