The Art of Her is a multidisciplinary exhibition of approximately 40 artworks celebrating the strength, creativity, complexity, and individuality of women through the lens of art. The exhibition will explore how women define themselves and are defined by culture, history, and identity — reclaiming narratives and challenging the boundaries between the personal and the political, the intimate and the universal through their art. At its core, The Art of Her, asks: Who is “she” and how does she express herself in the world?

Through all mediums, The Art of Her will showcase a juried collection of approximately 45 works of diverse voices of women artists in the Painted Ladies of Palm Beach County whose work embodies resilience, emotion, life experiences and transformation. The Painted Ladies of Palm Beach County is a group of professional and emerging women artists gathering monthly to support members’ artistic growth through museum and gallery tours, professional engagement with arts organizations, instructional and educational workshops, and art-focused travel.

  • Exhibition will be celebrated during the month of March, Women’s History Month (Congress dedicated the month of March to honoring the past and present contributions of women to American history, society and the arts, encouraging the study and celebration of women’s achievements.)

  • Curated by Marusca Gatto, Cultural Arts Director, Cornell Art Museum

  • The exhibition will be Judged by Grace Gdaniec, Program Director at Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach, Florida

  • Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and Honorable Mention
