Cornell Art Museum Celebrates Black History Month Featuring Student Artwork
The Cornell Art Museum is showcasing a vibrant collection of artwork from the Multicultural Youth Arts Festival. This inspiring exhibition features creations by elementary, middle, and high school students from schools across the region.
“As part of our mission as an historic cultural arts campus in the heart of Downtown Delray Beach, the Cornell Art Museum strives to create a welcoming space for all ages where the community comes together to celebrate high-quality, diverse and interactive art experiences. This exhibition is hosted in collaboration with the Multicultural Youth Arts Festival to be held on March 6 at Old School Square Amphitheatre. Artwork from several regional schools and youth organizations will be featured inside the museum Spotlight Gallery. Awards will be given for First, Second and Third place at each level by regional art professional judges.
MYAF celebrates the diverse talents of students in South Florida’s K-12 community and encourages students to create art that reflects their unique identity and cultural heritage, fostering self-esteem and confidence. The festival provides a platform for young artists to showcase their creativity and talents, promoting cultural understanding and appreciation.”
Admission to the Cornell Art Museum is always free, with donations warmly welcomed.
